A Hairrible Story!

Mari and I went to go help a sister in our ward pack because she was moving. We were gone for a good three hours. While we were gone I left the boys home to help watch Jasmine. Apparently they were not the best sitters because when we got home, we found Jasmine with a chunk of her hair out! She had seen Mari cut her bangs the other day and she wanted to cut her hair too, like a big kid (because Mari told her that only big kids can cut their hair by themselves.) So she did, and she actually did a pretty good job, but it still did not look right. So, Mari and I decided to fix it this morning, and now it is quite short!! Here it is:

What's Happening!

Mike and Amy went on an AWESOME, SPECTACULAR, CRUISE! On one of the islands they went to, they found someone that was selling conch shells! So they got one for us! Did you know that the people who get the conch shells have to dive 30+ feet!!

Jose was trying so hard to make the horn noise that it makes when you blow in the hole at the top, and it nearly knocked the wind out of him! (No seriously, he didn't have like any breath after he blew, he was trying so hard!)

Mari, Amy, and I, made this skirt for Mari! It came out super cute and it was super easy! Everyone at church gave her compliments on it!!

Jose gave Bella a haircut because she was pretty DISGUSTING! Here is her BEFORE!

Mari's new dessert

So we wanted Mike and Amy to have something fun and happy for when they returned from their cruise. Mari found this awesome dessert recipe and did the entire prep and pie herself. She really loves to bake and make things look just beautiful. It was as delicious as it looks. She only wished she had made this pie for Grandpa instead of her less than pleasing boston cream pie. I told her don't look back just chalk it up as experience. What do you think Grandpa? Mari will have to make this one for you next time. Nick and Jasmine were equally happy to have a yummy and fun dessert.

My Book Wreath!

Amy Tracy inspired me to kick-off my summer with a new craft. A book wreath was the perfect idea. I found an old book at Goodwill for a couple of dollars and then went to work. It took me about 5 days total and was such a fun way to let my imagination go to work. I looked into the different types of wreath designs and decided on the roses. I just love it! Thanks Aim :0)
